What will you do?

Lead Sun Pharma's global agenda across Claims Governance, Insurance Recovery, Enterprise Risk Management, Employee Benefits Claims Administration, and Insurance Program Excellence.

 

Lead the global investigations and fraud risk management agenda across Sun Pharma. Ensure concerns are triaged promptly and investigated independently, objectively, lawfully and consistently. Deliver evidence-based conclusions, protect confidentiality and due process, identify root causes, and convert investigation insights into sustainable corrective actions, stronger controls and early-warning capabilities. The role serves as a trusted adviser to senior leadership while preserving the integrity and independence of the investigations process.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Investigation Governance and Case Management
  • Own the global investigation framework, protocols, SOPs, allegation taxonomy, escalation matrix, SLAs, and quality standards.
  • Oversee intake, triage, case acceptance, scoping, and planning for whistleblower, fraud, misconduct, conflict of interest, bribery/corruption, asset misappropriation, and other sensitive matters.
  • Maintain confidentiality, independence, and appropriate legal privilege requirements; engage external counsel, forensic experts, or law enforcement when required.
  • Ensure complete, secure, and audit-ready case documentation and evidence records.

 

  1. Investigation Execution and Evidence
  • Lead complex, high-risk, and cross-border investigations from allegation through closure.
  • Develop investigation plans and oversee preservation and analysis of financial, documentary, digital, and electronic evidence.
  • Conduct and supervise witness and subject interviews while ensuring fairness, cultural sensitivity, and non-retaliation.
  • Leverage data analytics, e-discovery, and digital forensics to identify anomalies, relationships, and potential risks.

 

  1. Reporting, Remediation and Prevention
  • Prepare clear, evidence-based investigation reports and executive summaries.
  • Present significant matters and risk themes to senior management, Global Internal Audit leadership, and governance forums.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, HR, Finance, and Information Security on remediation, disciplinary actions, and regulatory engagement.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and CAPA governance, ensuring timely implementation and escalation of overdue actions.
  • Translate recurring issues into fraud risk assessments, control improvements, training, and preventive measures.

 

  1. Leadership, Quality and Capability
  • Lead, coach, and develop investigation teams while allocating cases based on risk, complexity, skills, and conflicts.
  • Manage external forensic firms, legal counsel, and technology providers.
  • Drive quality assurance and lessons-learned programs covering investigations, reporting, consistency, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Foster a strong speak-up and non-retaliation culture across the organization.
  • Support special reviews and assignments from the Head - Global Internal Audit.

 

  1. Decision Rights and Accountability
  • Recommend case classification, scope, resourcing, escalation, and closure.
  • Ensure preservation of records and access to relevant systems, information, and personnel.
  • Escalate conflicts, retaliation concerns, material misconduct, control failures, and remediation gaps.
  • Provide factual findings and control recommendations while employment, legal, and regulatory decisions remain with authorized functions.

 

Qualification & Skills:  

  • CA / CMA / MBA; Additional qualifications in Insurance, Risk Management, Law, Corporate Governance, or Enterprise Risk Management preferred.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) strongly preferred. CIA, CISA, CAMS, forensic accounting, digital forensics or investigation-interviewing credentials are advantageous.

 

Experience

  • 12-18 years of progressive experience in corporate investigations, forensic accounting, fraud risk management, compliance, ethics, or related assurance functions, including a minimum of 4-5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, sensitive, and cross-border investigations involving fraud, misconduct, compliance violations, whistleblower allegations, and regulatory matters.
  • Experience within Big Four firms, specialist forensic practices, pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries preferred.
  • Strong expertise across investigation planning and case management, whistleblower investigations, fraud schemes and financial analysis, interviewing, evidence preservation and chain of custody, report writing, root-cause analysis, CAPA governance, fraud risk assessments, data analytics, e-discovery, digital forensics, third-party risk management, anti-bribery and corruption, privacy requirements, employment considerations, and records-retention obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
