Job Title: Regional Sales Manager – Levulan® BLU-U® Photodynamic Therapy

Position Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will lead a team of high-performing sales representatives promoting Levulan® Kerastick® + BLU-U® photodynamic therapy for the treatment of actinic keratoses (AK) and other approved dermatologic conditions. This role is responsible for delivering sales performance, driving product adoption, executing strategic business plans, and ensuring compliant and effective sales execution across dermatology and specialty practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Coaching
    • Recruit, develop, and lead a team of sales representatives across the assigned region.
    • Conduct regular field visits, coaching sessions, and business reviews with direct reports.
    • Foster a performance-driven, compliant, and collaborative culture.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution
    • Own and exceed regional sales goals and KPIs for Levulan + BLU-U PDT.
    • Implement and localize national strategies to drive BLU-U light placement, Levulan usage, and procedure growth.
    • Partner with marketing and commercial operations to optimize regional initiatives.
  • Customer & Account Management
    • Support reps in developing key dermatology customer relationships, including physicians, practice administrators, and staff.
    • Ensure successful targeting, reach, and frequency against high-value accounts and call plans.
    • Monitor field activity to ensure engagement across all stages of the customer journey, including capital placement, product reorder, and in-office use.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with reimbursement, training, and marketing teams to support Levulan + BLU-U access, in-office training, and patient education.
    • Collaborate with leadership to provide field insights, identify market opportunities, and remove barriers to adoption.
  • Compliance & Reporting
    • Ensure all field activities are compliant with company policies, industry regulations, and promotional guidelines.
    • Analyze regional sales data, market trends, and rep performance to adjust execution plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of successful pharmaceutical, medical device, or specialty sales experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing a sales team; dermatology, aesthetic, or capital equipment experience a plus.
  • Proven ability to drive product adoption and capitalize on market opportunities in underpenetrated regions.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region (up to 70%).

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience selling in dermatology, photodynamic therapy, or light-based treatment modalities.
  • Demonstrated success launching or relaunching specialty products and/or capital equipment in office-based settings.
  • Familiarity with buy-and-bill, patient access, and reimbursement models.
