Senior Medical Director – Global Medical Affairs Lead (GMAL), Dermatology 

Position Summary

Sun Pharma is seeking an experienced and strategic medical leader to support the continued expansion of its Global Medical Affairs organization within Dermatology. This contract position will provide global medical leadership for the dermatology portfolio, with primary responsibility for tildrakizumab (IL-23 inhibitor) across plaque psoriasis (PsO), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), and future inflammatory and autoimmune dermatology indications. The incumbent will lead global medical strategy, evidence generation, scientific engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global medical strategy for the dermatology portfolio.
• Lead lifecycle management and indication expansion strategies.
• Drive Real-World Evidence (RWE), investigator-initiated studies, registries, and outcomes research.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with global Key Opinion Leaders.
• Lead scientific advisory boards and represent Medical Affairs at international congresses.
• Oversee publication strategy and scientific communications.
• Collaborate with Clinical Development, Commercial, Regulatory, HEOR, Safety, Medical Information, and regional Medical Affairs teams.
• Ensure compliance with global medical governance and scientific standards.

Required Qualifications

Education
• MD, PhD of PharmD in Medicine, Dermatology, Immunology, or related biomedical discipline.
• PharmD candidates will not be considered.

Experience
• Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience is required.
• Significant Global Medical Affairs leadership experience.
• Expertise in psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, autoimmune skin diseases, inflammatory or dermatology is required.
• Demonstrated experience developing global medical strategy is required.
• Strong background in RWE, evidence generation, publications, and KOL engagement is required.
• Experience supporting global product launches and lifecycle management is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with IL-23 inhibitors or biologics in dermatology/immunology is preferred
• Global matrix leadership across multiple regions is preferred.
• Familiarity with dermatology treatment guidelines and evolving standards of care is preferred

Travel

Approximately 30–40% global travel.

 

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $243,000 to $297,000. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
