Regional IT Head

 

We are seeking a highly skilled, dynamic, experienced IT leader to oversee and manage IT operations of Sun, and subsidiaries in USA, Canada and Israel. The IT Head, NA will play a pivotal role in effectively implementing Sun’s IT strategy, and champion business transformation and technology initiatives that enable business functions to operate effectively, efficiently and securely. This role will plan, organize, manage and lead staff and overall IT operations in the region to ensure the reliable, stable, secure and cost-effectiveness. The IT Head will lead a talented team of technology professionals and work closely with senior leadership in the region and the relevant Corporate Functions, including Corporate IT. This is role will functionally report to the CIO, and administratively report to the CEO of SUN, North America.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage IT applications specific to the region, digital transformation + data & analytics initiatives. Execute technology and data strategy that aligns with business and company goals.
  • Design and execute a comprehensive strategy for the region’s IT infrastructure and IT application systems, aligning it with business objectives and ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Monitor and maintain the region’s IT infrastructure environment, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and minimal downtime.
  • In close collaboration with the Global Infrastructure Head from Corporate IT, monitor performance of IT systems to determine cost and productivity levels and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
  • Audit and keep up to date on all support contracts, and software license compliance to ensure the company is keeping support on equipment and the services, staying legally compliant with company approved software standards and taking advantage of negotiated pricing on both.
  • In accordance with policies, procedures, guidelines and directives of CISO / Head, Cybersecurity, enforce security measures and compliance standards across the regional infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the regional IT infrastructure, ensuring data protection and minimal or zero disruption to business operations in the event of a disaster.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and highperformance culture, providing guidance, and facilitating their professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Manage vendor / partner relationships and contracts to ensure cost-effective technology solutions that meet the company’s needs.
  • Deliver complex and mission critical IT projects and programs consistently, in accordance with time and cost committed to the sponsor.
  • Work closely with the NAM CEO’s Office, CIO and Corporate IT teams, manage budgets, budget approvals and ensure actual spending is within the approved budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) from a University / Institution of repute.
  • Minimum 18 years of relevant experience in information technology leadership roles in USA, with a proven track record of leading digital transformation and data analytics initiatives in large organizations.
  • Pharmaceutical Industry experience in USA, including knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry-specific technologies
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Highly skilled in understanding, motivating, and developing individuals and teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage costs and service delivery balanced with a strong customer focus.
  • Self-starter, flexible mindset and extremely outcome and delivery oriented.

 

Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan.   Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program.
