JD FOR ANALYST - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Supporting Sun’s North America Business Development & Portfolio Management team in maximizing region profitability and performance by way of: (i) portfolio analysis for pipeline products, (iii) studying new products for selection, (ii) support evaluation of new BD opportunities.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing business cases and forecasts for Sun pipeline and upcoming launches including:  
  1. Market Share and forecast determination
  2. Pricing determination basis current in-market prices, Commercial pricing strategies
  3. P&L  cash flow and NPV evaluation
  • Working with key stakeholders to prepare product assessment, review slides for generic team
  • Analyzing current key products and market trends within US generics industry and identifying new products for selection
  • Interacting with Sun Corporate BD and R&D team members to provide market inputs on pipeline products
  • Creating financial models and business forecasts including NPV analysis for in-house and various BD targets
  • Updating forecasts as needed to reflect market changes in IMS data, Brand WAC, Market share, # of players etc

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS/ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE TO DO THE JOB:

  • General knowledge of pharmaceutical products, generics industry, cGMP compliance a plus
  • General knowledge of NPV, IRR, ROI and other financial / accounting measures
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Excel, Word skills
  • High level understanding of US generics regulatory process such as ANDA approval
  • Strong analytical skill sets focused in financial/data modeling and forecasting
  • Proficiency in using IMS or other data mining tools 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and persuasiveness
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Marketing. MBA is preferred.
  • 1 to 2+ years' experience in a portfolio analysis, marketing support role.
  • Knowledge of the US generics pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
