Job Summary:

Are you a hands‑on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, improving equipment reliability, and supporting compliant pharmaceutical operations? We’re seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our 2nd shift manufacturing operations, ensuring plant equipment, utilities, and systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in technical problem‑solving, works well independently with limited supervision, and thrives in a regulated manufacturing environment.

 

What You’ll Do:

Under limited supervision, you will support day‑to‑day maintenance operations and continuous improvement initiatives, including:

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance in accordance with cGMP engineering standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve simple to complex mechanical and equipment issues to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
  • Perform non‑routine maintenance tasks as needed to support production demands.
  • Support operational improvement and maintenance projects across the facility.

 

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate documentation for preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, and equipment usage logbooks.
  • Develop and maintain records for pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, utilities, and systems to support operational continuity and validation.
  • Perform equipment, utility, and plant validation activities as required.
  • Follow all company safety policies and comply with regulatory and cGMP requirements at all times.

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Perform improvements and maintenance activities to support manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to maintain equipment reliability.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

 

Work Schedule:

  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:15 PM – 11:45 PM
  • Travel: Up to 5%

 

Work Environment

This role is performed in a manufacturing/production environment and may involve exposure to:

  • Moderate to high noise levels
  • Fumes, odors, gases, and airborne dust
  • Mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards
  • Elevated work areas and moving equipment

Strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements is essential.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Use hands and fingers to handle tools and equipment
  • Ability to operate production equipment, hand tools, and office/computer equipment
  • Wear required PPE including safety shoes, safety glasses, and gloves
  • Lift up to 70 lbs
  • Visual acuity including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School, Trade School, or Vocational Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Ability to identify and source replacement parts using manuals and technical documentation
  • Good math and computer skills, including MS Office and some experience with SAP
  • Operational understanding and troubleshooting experience with manufacturing equipment such as:
    • Blenders, Sifters, Mills, Printing Machines
    • Dust Collectors, Tablet Dedusters, Packaging Equipment
  • Basic operational and troubleshooting knowledge of medium‑level equipment including:
    • Compression Machines, High Shear Mixers, Film Coaters, Capsule Fillers
  • Hands on electrical knowledge
  • Basic understanding of cGMP and OSHA regulations
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • English proficiency at CEFR Basic A2 level

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to read electrical drawings and control diagrams
  • Electrical and controls troubleshooting using instruments such as multimeters
  • Welding and plumbing experience, including sweating copper tubing
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and troubleshooting via Building Management Systems
  • Experience with compressed air and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to fabricate sheet metal guards and simple replacement parts
  • Black Seal Boiler License and HVAC Certification 

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience, preferably within solid oral dosage pharmaceutical manufacturing

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $35/hr to $40/hr. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan, and may be eligible for the Long Term Incentive Plan. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
