Job Summary:

This is a high visibility position providing both strategic and operational HR partnership and support for a blend of Production, Quality, Warehouse and scientific client functions.  You will partner with cross-functional teams and leaders to actively engage and advise on HR plans, programs, and policies that directly align with the business strategy.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivates collaborative business partnerships through HR mentorship to employees and managers with regard to career development, recruiting, performance management, compensation, training, policy interpretation, LOA etc.
  • Partners with hiring managers to understand organizational needs and ensuring the proper identification and selection of candidates within established timelines and legal compliance.
  • Acts as a champion for change, innovation and continual operational improvement and excellence.
  • Leads all phases of employee relations and investigations.
  • Identifies and evaluates opportunities to enhance employee development and retention.
  • Partners with business leaders to gain and offer HR insight on business and operational challenges.
  • Provides guidance on people programs such as Total Rewards, career development, company policies, recognition, etc.
  • Coaches leaders through all aspects of performance management process from goal setting through appraisal and performance counseling process.
  • Maintains a high level of knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable laws regarding human resources.
  • Participates and/or leads HR team projects and initiatives
  • Supports Social Compliance audits and participates in other regulatory audits such as FDA, DEA.
  • Embodies Sun Pharma cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture.

  

Education and Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Human Resources, Organizational Development Business or related field.
  • PHR or CP certification preferred.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS programs.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Human Resource experience.
  • Expertise in a minimum of four of the following: performance management, regulatory/compliance, employee relations, employee engagement, retention, organizational development and training; payroll administration, compensation.
  • Solid track record of driving HR programs, projects or initiatives.
  • Solid experience managing complex employee relations matters and investigations.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and develop strong partnerships with clients and HR colleagues.
  • High degree of personal initiative and achievement motivation, setting personal standards of excellence and ongoing performance improvement and innovation.
  • Strong analytical skills, including reporting, synthesizing data to identify themes and building solutions to address identified issues.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication: verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • A self-starter with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with complete discretion.
  • Acts in an ethical and compliant manner and requires others to do the same.
  • The requirement for English language proficiency for this job role is Intermediate-B1+ (comparable to Global CEFR Independent B1) level based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). 
  • Experience in Manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Experience within pharmaceutical industry a plus.
  • Experience with immigration a plus.

 

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Office environment located at Manufacturing/Production sites.
  • While performing duties of this job the employee frequently is required to sit, stand, talk, hear, walk, use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard and mouse.
  • Light to moderate lifting up to 10lbs. is required.
  • Travel estimate up to 5%.
