Job Summary:

Are you passionate about analytical chemistry and eager to apply your skills in a pharmaceutical environment? We are seeking a motivated Chemist I to join our Quality Control laboratory team. In this role, you will perform analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples while supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality pharmaceutical products.

Monday–Friday | Day Shift Pharmaceutical Analytical Laboratory | Onsite

 

What You'll Do:

Analytical Testing

  • Perform routine analytical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, in-process samples, blends, finished products, and stability samples.
  • Utilize a variety of analytical instruments, including:
    • HPLC / UPLC
    • Gas Chromatography (GC)
    • UV/VIS Spectroscopy
    • FTIR
    • Dissolution Apparatus
    • Particle Size Analyzer
    • Karl Fischer Titrator
  • Ensure testing is completed accurately and within established timelines.

Documentation & Data Integrity

  • Document all raw data, observations, and test results contemporaneously in laboratory notebooks, worksheets, and electronic systems.
  • Compile analytical results and communicate findings to supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready laboratory records.

Laboratory Operations

  • Perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Follow departmental SOPs, DEA requirements, and all applicable safety procedures.
  • Support continuous compliance with cGMP and data integrity standards.

 

Work Environment:

This position is based in a pharmaceutical analytical laboratory and may involve exposure to:

  • Laboratory chemicals and solvents
  • Fumes, odors, and airborne particles
  • Standard laboratory equipment and instrumentation
  • Moderate noise levels

Appropriate PPE and safety protocols must be followed at all times.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach as needed.
  • Ability to perform repetitive laboratory tasks.
  • Strong visual acuity, including close vision and depth perception.
  • Ability to operate laboratory and office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

 

Travel: Up to 10%

 

What You Bring:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline required.

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with analytical instrumentation theory and practice.
  • Familiarity with wet chemistry techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
  • Understanding of laboratory documentation and data recording practices.

Professional Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Self-motivated with a hands-on, can-do attitude.
  • English proficiency at CEFR Intermediate B1+ level.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in analytical chemistry laboratory.
  • 2 years of pharmaceutical experience highly preferred.

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $59,000 to $66,000. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan, and may be eligible for the Long Term Incentive Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
