Job Summary

Perform crucial role in alliance management , conducting opportunity assessment, and supporting various business development activities.
To be the lead contact of the new alliance from agreement execution to term completion

Areas Of Responsibility

 

  • Participation in evaluation and presentation of  business opportunities across therapeutic areas to establish licensing collaboration for India
  • evaluation and due diligence of business opportunities of interest as required. These business interests primarily comprises of in-licensing and M&A opportunities
  • Responsibility includes tracking developments for products/collaboration and its commercialisation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in R&D, PMO, Medical affairs, IP, Clinical Research, Business, New Product Introductions, Regulatory etc., to collect relevant data on assessing the project feasibility
  • Estimate the product costing in and take necessary approvals. 
  • Ensure complete alignment between partner companies and internal teams including R&D team, Sourcing team, Marketing team and various cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery timelines for new product launches
  • Validate the actual launch performance against initial business assumptions.
  • Manage the partnerships at all stages of their lifecycle with a focus on mutual value creation
  • Ensure decision making is informed by contract terms with partner, partner’s point of view, and any other factors that could affect partnership value
  • Proactively identify and drive resolution of key partnership risks and issues
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to business development activities
  • Stay updated with industry trends, attend workshops or conferences, and share key findings with the team

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-graduation in pharmacy or related science discipline and a degree management (MBA preferred)
  • 1-2 years of progressive career with 3-4 years’ experience in business development, licensing or managing partnerships and collaborations
  • Strong problem solving , financial business modeling knowledge
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry and market dynamics
  • Strong analytical and research skills to gather and analyze market data
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under deadlines
  • Enthusiasm for learning and keeping up with industry developments
