Key responsibilities:
Job Summary: Sales & Marketing of APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) for the countries/regions assigned. A prior experience in pharma markets (such as USA, Europe, LATAM, APAC, Russia, MENA, S. Korea, Japan, Taiwan etc). is preferred. Job will require to drive and achieve sales and profitability budgets, mapping of local pharmaceutical industry, key players, API demand, supply, key regulatory, technical and commercial requirements and activities related to business development with customers to drive and expand API business.
Areas of Responsibility: Business Development: • Mapping of API users in the territory i.e. local, global pharmaceutical companies in the territory. • Identifying the right products from the portfolio for carrying out BD activities • Connecting with the potential customers and pitching with them for promotion of our products • Leading price negotiations till closure of the deal.
Sales and Marketing: • Drive and achieve the sales & profitability targets achievement for the assigned region. • Managing key customer accounts and engage with them to maintain healthy long-term relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction by timely deliveries of the supplies and related services to build organization’s brand value. • Gathering Market intelligence, identifying market needs, competitor activity and industry best practices that can be emulated.
Sales allied functions: • Work with cross-functional teams such as regulatory, finance, quality & logistics etc to drive customer relationship management, query resolution, documentation, approvals required, follow ups for payments. • Coordinate with other departments such as R&D, Operations, and SCM to plan orders, share inputs on capacity planning, and timely product delivery to fulfill customer requirements while ensuring adherence to state and country-level regulations.
Job Scope: • Internal Interactions (within the organization) – Regulatory, R&D, QA, QC, Supply Chain, Finance • External Interactions (outside the organization) – Customer, Industry experts, Pharma Industry Bodies • Geographical Scope - Latin America • Financial Accountability - Revenue targets will be provided based on past performance of the (cost/revenue with exclusive authority) territory and future potential
Skills: Presentation skills, communication and interpersonal skills, analytical mindset
