What will you do?

The Senior Manager – Analytics & Insights will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making across Emerging Markets by providing actionable insights, performance analytics, and strategic recommendations to enhance sales force effectiveness and business performance.

The role will partner with regional and country leadership teams across Emerging Markets to deliver analytics solutions, performance monitoring frameworks, commercial insights, and reporting automation that support sustainable business growth. The incumbent will act as a strategic business partner, translating complex data into meaningful insights and driving commercial excellence initiatives across diverse markets.

 

Areas of Responsibility:

Analytics & Business Insights

  • Analyse sales, market, customer, CRM, and operational data across Emerging Markets to identify business opportunities and performance improvement areas.
  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Develop country, regional, and portfolio-level performance analyses to drive business growth.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on business performance, market trends, customer engagement, and sales force productivity.
  • Support annual planning, business reviews, forecasting, and performance tracking processes.

 

Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE)

  • Support and drive SFE initiatives including customer segmentation, targeting, territory alignment, field force deployment, and resource optimization.
  • Develop and monitor key SFE metrics and performance indicators across markets.
  • Evaluate field force productivity and recommend actions to improve customer coverage and execution effectiveness.
  • Partner with country teams to identify best practices and standardize SFE processes where appropriate.

 

Dashboarding, Reporting & Business Intelligence

  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and performance scorecards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
  • Automate recurring reports and improve reporting efficiency through digital solutions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of commercial performance metrics across markets.
  • Build scalable reporting solutions that support regional and country-level decision-making.

Incentive & Performance Analytics

  • Conduct incentive effectiveness analysis and payout simulations.
  • Develop performance measurement frameworks aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor incentive performance and provide recommendations to improve effectiveness and ROI.

 

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Analyse market dynamics, competitive performance, and growth opportunities across Emerging Markets.
  • Leverage internal and external data sources to provide market insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Track competitive activities and benchmark business performance against industry standards.

 

Data Governance & Digital Transformation

  • Promote data quality, consistency, and governance across analytics processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with IT, Digital, and Business teams to improve data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.
  • Support implementation and enhancement of CRM, SFA, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Drive reporting automation and adoption of advanced analytics solutions.

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with regional, cluster, and country leadership teams across Emerging Markets.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, and Commercial Excellence functions.
  • Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and actionable recommendations.
  • Present insights and business reviews to senior management and country leadership teams.

 

Educational Qualification:

  • MBA / PGDM from a reputed institute.
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or related discipline.

 

Experience and Skills:

  • 10–15 years of experience in Analytics, Commercial Excellence, Sales Force Effectiveness, Business Intelligence, Sales Operations, digital transformation initiatives or related functions.
  • Exposure to SFA/CRM, Business Intelligence, Reporting Automation.
  • Exposure to Advanced Excel, Power BI/Tableau, SQL. Exposure to Python, Predictive analytics, AI enabled tools will be preferred.
  • Experience supporting multiple countries, regions, or international markets.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial processes and performance metrics.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across geographies and cultures.
