JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
- Lead execution of Sun’s global serialization programs to comply with current regulations, e.g., US, EU, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, UAE, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, etc.
- Collaborate with senior management to align track and trace initiatives with broader goals, driving efficiency and compliance.
- Manage enterprise repository (L4) systems (Tracelink, Rfxcel, etc) including scoping, designing, implementation, and validation as per compliance requirements for Sun and Taro.
- Manage budget for all L4 relating expenses at corporate level.
- Research and analyze changing regulatory landscape (15+ evolving regulations across Africa, EAEU, Middle East) and lead efforts to adapt systems and processes to comply with evolving track and trace requirements.
- Function as point of contact for serialization and track and trace issue escalations and support alert investigations relating to serialized products across all markets.
- Ensure training is conducted for all business users to familiarize and understand serialization activities as per different regulations during project implementations.
- Periodic updates to all stakeholders to maintain visibility and transparency across teams on project progress.
- Coordinate with vendors and external partners for seamless integration of third-party technology and systems.
- Manage user access to the existing serialization L4 systems of Sun and Taro.
- Review and approve internal validation deliverables and risk assessments of serialization systems as Business System Owner.
- Participate and support change control management process.
- Actively participate in relevant industry forums and seminars to stay updated with best practices in industry to drive internal improvements.
- Engage with internal teams through serialization related workshops, trainings and meetings. Conduct a track and trace meet once a year with all internal stakeholders.
- Lead partner onboarding activities for all global CMOs (90+), Brand Owners (40+), 3PLs, distributors, or downstream customers (120+) for data exchange through L4 systems.
- Ensure technical readiness of L4 systems to support data exchange with all internal and external manufacturing sites.
- Collaborate with internal teams to generate master data as per regulatory, system, and business process requirements.
- Facilitate vendor assessments, risk assessments, technical evaluations, and SOP generation for various projects.
Enterprise Track and Trace:
- Understand and implement across EU the EMVO EAMS system for alerts analysis reporting.
- Lead technical integrations (scoping, planning, execution, and vendor alignment) of track and trace systems and processes as part of Mergers and Acquisitions.
- Align with business teams to manage and share product master data through GDSN.
- Conceptualize future business processes and work closely with IT and SAP teams to implement new integrations with serialization and track and trace systems to improve flow of data and improve productivity for site and business users.
- Evaluate new solutions and vendors to support compliance requirements, drive business process improvements, and generate valuable data insights using AI/ML.
- Lead Tracelink Multi-enterprise Information Network Tower (MINT) module implementations for US, Romania, and Brazil.
Site Track and Trace Activities:
- Lead the development and implementation of long-term strategies for serialization and track and trace, aligning them with company goals and regulatory timelines.
- Provide technical leadership to multi-function teams (Production, QA, IT, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Logistics) ensuring smooth execution of complex serialization projects and system upgrades as per plan across global Sun sites and partner locations.
- Evaluate and identify risks and challenges to the projects and define mitigation strategies to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities and implement harmonization of processes and documents relating to track and trace systems across Sun sites as well as partners.
- Define areas of improvements based on EU alerts analysis for impacted sites and partners.
- Identify operational bottlenecks (machine or process) and develop solutions to improve productivity, reduce cost, and reduce downtime.
- Create a centralized support setup to reduce response times to global serialization support requests from sites and partners.
- Support identification of Opex and Capex requirements at sites for all track and trace projects.
- Drive continuous improvement of in-house processes through use of vision systems and reduce manual interventions and costs.
Enterprise wide QR Code Implementation:
- Manage the implementation of domestic QR code compliance mandate across all Sun India sites as per business priorities including scoping of lines/systems, products, and technologies to be implemented. Work with internal stakeholders to define the objectives and finalize budget to be presented to senior management.
- Track progress and share updates across all stakeholders on periodic basis.
- Lead anti-counterfeiting solution evaluations considering costs and manage the digital printing solution pilot project and subsequent enterprise roll-out activities.
- Alerts analysis management of scanned codes to support anti-counterfeiting investigations.
Skills:
- Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Desire for innovation and staying updated in emerging trends and advancements in serialization technologies.
- Strong project management skills to manage large scale initiatives ensuring on time delivery while coordinating with large number of internal and external stakeholders.
- High proficiency in MS office application, particularly, Excel and PowerPoint is desired.
- Must be able to work independently, if required.
- Strong decision making, problem solving and analytical skills to navigate complex regulatory and operational challenges.
- Multi-tasking and prioritization skills to deliver on aggressive project timelines.
- Good Financial and business acumen.
