We are seeking a seasoned Subject Matter Expert (SME) with proven experience in email domain architecture, identity and access management (IDAM), and virtualized infrastructure. This role combines expertise in Windows Active Directory, VMware systems, Microsoft Exchange, MDM, cloud platforms, and integration of business-critical applications including SuccessFactors. The ideal candidate will lead transformational initiatives, enhance system availability and security, and integrate modern automation and configuration management strategies. The role will also include project management, vendor coordination, budget planning, and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Email, AD & IDAM:

  • Serve as SME for Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, IDAM, SSO, and MFA implementations.
  • Manage multi-cloud and on-prem email systems including Exchange 2010/2013/2016/2019, Office 365, IBM, IceWarp.
  • Integrate email and AD systems with web-hosted apps, PTR entries, DNS, and email security protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
  • Administer and integrate email solutions with critical apps like SAP SuccessFactors, HRMS, and enterprise platforms.
  • Lead email migration, consolidation, and security enhancement projects.
  • Configure and manage email archival using EMC SourceOne and related storage solutions.

2. Active Directory & Windows Systems:

  • Design, implement, and maintain multi-forest/domain Active Directory systems across Windows 2003–2019 environments.
  • Expert in Group Policy, DNS, AD replication, OU design, schema, and backup/restore strategies.
  • Lead identity lifecycle management and federation (ADFS).

3. Virtualization & Cloud:

  • Act as SME for VMware platforms (ESXi 5.x–8.x) and Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Deploy and support Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, VMware NSX, Azure Stack, SCCM, SCOM.
  • Experience in Hyperconverged Infrastructure, Software Defined Networking/Storage.
  • Work with cloud platforms Azure, AWS, GCP.

4. MDM & Automation:

  • Manage MDM platforms like MaaS360, Microsoft Intune.
  • Implement automation/configuration management tools for infrastructure as code.

5. Governance, Compliance, and Support:

  • Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, audit, and governance standards.
  • Develop SOPs, KBs, risk analysis, and DR procedures.
  • Provide advanced technical support and lead incident, problem, and service request management under SLAs.

6. Leadership, Project & Vendor Management:

  • Act as mentor for junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, OEMs.
  • Participate in project planning, execution, and documentation aligned with PMO framework.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate contract renewals.
  • Oversee project budgets, cost estimates, and financial planning for IT initiatives.
  • Track and report progress against project timelines, deliverables, and budgets.

Educational Qualification

Graduate or Postgraduate in Computer Science or related field

Specific Certification

Certification & Trainings on following technology domains:

  • Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
  • MCSE Messaging
  • Certified Windows Active Directory Administrator
  • VCP / VCAP-DCV
  • Azure / AWS / GCP certifications

Experience

10-12 Years of experience

Skill (Functional & Behavioural):

Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in Active Directory, Exchange, VMware, email security, and automation.
  • Proven experience integrating enterprise identity/email systems with business applications.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, LDAP, Kerberos, server monitoring, and network routing.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and operational management skills.
  • Proficient in vendor coordination, budgeting, and contract negotiation/renewal.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration
  • High attention to detail, especially around security and compliance
  • Problem-solving under pressure and with complex systems
  • Strategic thinking with a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement
  • Pharma industry experience is an advantage.
