Key responsibilities:

1. R&D Projects (Canada & Israel)

  • Support site R&D teams in new product development.
  • Identify and developed new vendors based on product requirements.
  • Coordinate artwork approvals between vendors, QA, and sites.
  • Follow up with vendors to ensure timely deliveries.

2. Purchase Order Verification & Clearance

  • Validate purchase orders against set internal norms
  • Ensure compliance with agreed vendor share-of-business allocations.
  • Review PO quantities and identified abnormalities.

3. Cost Control

  • Monitor key raw material price trends and evaluated vendor price escalations/de-escalations.
  • Generate PAN documentation with supporting records.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through: Value Engineering, Alternate Vendor Development (AVD), Commercial negotiations
  • Execute cost-saving projects by coordinating with cross-functional teams and vendors.
  • Manage vendor qualification, sample evaluation, machine trials, and stability studies.
  • Ensure purchase orders were shifted to alternate vendors to realize targeted savings.

4. E-Auction Management

  • Assist suppliers with onboarding on PRM360.
  • Address supplier queries and ensured participation in auctions.
  • Share specifications and commercial inputs required for bidding.

5. Supply Risk Mitigation (De-risking)

  • Maintain multiple sourcing strategies to avoid vendor dependency.
  • Develop alternate suppliers where existing vendors could not meet requirements.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to prevent production disruptions.

6. New Vendor Development

  • Collect and manage vendor qualification documentation as per CQA requirements.
  • Coordinate document reviews and revisions with vendors and CQA.
  • Arrange vendor site audits and facilitated audit completion.
  • Follow up on audit reports, CAPA implementation, and audit closures.

7. Vendor Audit Coordination

  • Plan and coordinated vendor audits with CQA and suppliers.
  • Ensure audits were completed according to the annual audit schedule.
  • Facilitate vendor suspension or deregistration when required.
  • Share audit findings and coordinated CAPA submissions from vendors.

8. Logistics Support

  • Monitor freight cost proposals submitted by vendors.
  • Conduct freight auctions through GoComet to optimize logistics costs.
  • Obtain freight cost approvals and communicated approved rates to sites.

9. Material Availability & Customer Support

  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely material availability.
  • Provide updated vendor price lists for new materials and price revisions.
  • Coordinate international logistics and shipping documentation for smooth customs clearance.

10. Quality Complaint Management

  • Manage quality issues reported by site locations.
  • Coordinate with vendors to obtain investigation reports and CAPA plans.
  • Organize discussions between sites and vendors to resolve quality concerns.

11. MIS & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly site-wise reports covering: Cost savings accruals, Project status, Key achievements and challenges
  • Support annual budgeting activities for overseas locations

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

Graduate in any domain/ Engineering (packaging/printing)

PG Diploma with packaging 

IIP Certification - added advantage

 

Experience

Tenure:  8-10 years
