Position Title: Legal Associate (Trademark and Litigation)

Who you are:

• Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in domestic trademark
• Education:   Graduate in B.A or B Com, LLB
• Skills:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Team player
  • Able to quickly learn and adapt to new technology platforms and software tools
  • Proficient in MS Office and other standard business software

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Conducting domestic Trademark Searches and sharing opinion to the stakeholders
• Online filing of trademark applications (wherever we can file Inhouse)
• Scrutiny of Bills/ Invoices and Expenses management
• Communication with Local attorneys and Stake holders
• Briefing / coordinating external Counsels/ Attorney’s globally
• Drafting cease and desist letters, settlement agreements, and other legal correspondence
• Screening of Trademark Journals, various database, online portals for checking conflicting trademarks (domestic)
• Managing case files and maintaining detailed records of all case-related activities
• Conduct detailed legal research and analyse complex legal issues
• Develop strategies for effective Litigation management and risk mitigation
• Attending personal hearings before Trademark and Registrar of Companies and
• Preparing and updating case summaries, Record keeping and database management and other duties, as assigned
• Travelling within and out of Mumbai for trademark related works
• Knowledge of overseas trademark (good to have)
