What will you do?

HR Business Partner (HRBP) to for Global Capability Centre (GCC) plays a critical role in aligning the HR initiatives of GCC team based out of India with North America region. This role requires a deep understanding of Shared Services people practices, pharmaceutical industry understanding and the ability to drive HR strategies that support our intent to scale GCC team and sustain best practices for Sun GCC.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership:

  • Collaborate with Business & HR Leadership in India and North America to develop and implement HR strategies.
  • Provide strategic HR support and guidance to senior management on key organizational and management issues.

Talent Management:

  • Lead talent acquisition efforts, including workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding along with Talent Acquisition team
  • Work with Talent Management CoE in contextualising talent management programs to attract, retain, and develop high-performing employees.

Employee Relations:

  • Develop and contextualise HR policies to enable GCC ways of working aligned with Sun Pharma values
  • Build a Hi-tech and Hi-Touch onboarding program for GCC workforce and roll it out across Gurgaon and Mumbai
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective employee relations practices.
  • Address and resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Performance Management:

  • Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans with North America leaders in conjunction with India region aligned PMS guidelines.
  • Coach & support managers on effective performance management process, system gaps if any and timely feedback.

Organizational Development:

  • Help prepare GCC Structure for Mumbai and Gurgaon to enable clear roles, responsibility matrix ; develop Job Descriptions
  • Work with rewards team in conducting Job Evaluation for GCC workforce
  • Partner with GCC Lead in identifying additional offshorable opportunities across North America, Emerging Markets or other global regions in future by conducting role feasibility study
  • Drive other organizational development projects, including change management and ensure smooth transitions

HR Functional Expertise:

  • People Analytics is a key aspect of this role, incumbent will need to conduct various analysis to gauge skill gap, productivity, attrition etc
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR Ops team (NAM and Corporate HR team) in driving operational support i.e. payroll, HRIS, and employee records.

Culture and Engagement:

  • Help contextualise employee value proposition for GCC workforce and cascade as part of HR value chain
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives for the GCC team in Mumbai & Gurgaon to enhance workplace satisfaction and productivity.

Experience and Skills:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a strategic HRBP role.
  • Experience in the GCC, Shared Services, ITES industry or a similar sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws, and regulations in India, preferable knowledge of outsourcing regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
