Key responsibilities:

 

  • Build EHS culture
  • Implement global EHS standards, EHS interim actions, Corporate Environment &Sustainability  standards, procedures (Water management, waste water management, Hazardous waste management, Non-hazardous waste management, Air pollution control,) by involving and guiding the site personnel.
  • Investigating Incidents, Developing Safety Programs. Training Employees and Contractors on safety procedures, enforcing safety regulations, Monitoring compliance of contractors with safety standards.
  • Developing and carrying out safety policies and procedures.
  • Identifying potential hazards in the workplace, assesses risk associated with each hazard, and  develops appropriate strategies to mitigate or eliminate the risks. 
  • Conduct Performance Monitoring and Reporting
  • Conceptual, Basic and Detailed Design of ETP/STP/MEE and other environmental protection systems like Fire Fighting and Detection systems /processes required at site.
  • Team Management
  • Identify EHS risks during new product development/introduction/new plant construction
  • Maintain database for Industrial EHS, Process safety and Best Practices
  • Ensure Risk Assessment, including Emergency management and Environment Aspect Impact is conducted for all the processes
  • Create EHS Awareness through Training / capability development and other systems
  • Ensure EHS regulatory compliance
  • Make a monitoring system to ensure that standards are in place and in use 24 hrs 365 days
  • Develop, implement and track site EHS budget.
  • Monitoring and execution of Greenfield project related activities
  • Implementation and monitoring of work permit system.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

B.E /M. Sc Envi/ B. Tech

Experience

Tenure:  10-15 years

Relevant industry experience in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.  

Occupational health and safety experience: This can include experience in safety management, compliance, and regulatory affairs.  Leadership and management experience in Green Field Project.
