The Business Analyst – Distribution & Sales will serve as a strategic partner within the IT Department, acting as the critical bridge between business stakeholders (Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain) and technology teams.

 

The not only gather requirements but also understand the bigger business picture, challenge assumptions, and propose solutions that drive tangible business outcomes.

This is a central role in transforming Sales & Distribution processes through IT solutions, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth strategy, customer-centric approach, and operational efficiency goals. He will be responsible for end-to-end business analysis – from understanding commercial objectives and distributor ecosystem challenges to enabling technology adoption across CRM, ERP (Sales & Distribution modules) , Distributor Management Systems (DMS), and analytics platforms.

 

Areas Of Responsibility

 


• Partnering with business leaders to identify gaps, opportunities, and innovation areas in Sales & Distribution Process.

• Partner with external entities susch as implementation Partners and Vendors for timely execution.

• Collaborate within Internal IT team and Business team to build solution with business for digital transformation Journey.
• Driving requirement gathering, documentation, and functional design for IT solutions that optimize channel performance, dealer management, pricing strategies, and secondary sales visibility.
• Working closely with IT development, testing, and support teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of applications and enhancements.
• Acting as a change champion by facilitating user adoption, conducting UAT, and ensuring smooth rollout of new digital tools.
• Supporting data-driven decision making by enabling reporting, dashboards, and analytics tailored for Sales and Distribution leaders.

The Role will be expected to bring deep domain expertise, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate complex business needs into practical IT solutions. The role requires a combination of consulting mindset, analytical acumen, and execution excellence to ensure that IT continues to be a true enabler for business growth.

Job Requirements

 

 

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• MBA or Post-Graduation in Business / IT / Supply Chain (preferred).

 

 

Specific Certification

Certifications like SAP SD,  Agile BA, ITIL, or PMP are an added advantage

 

 

Experience

Skill (Functional & Behavioural):

 

Functional Skills :
• Deep knowledge of Sales & Distribution processes (Order-to-Cash (Domestic, Exports), Dealer/Distributor Management, Pricing, Promotions, Secondary Sales).
• Strong understanding of CRM, ERP (SAP SD / Oracle / MS Dynamics), and DMS applications.
• Business process modeling (BPMN, UML).
• Requirement gathering, functional specification writing, and gap analysis.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis, reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAP BW).
