Consumer Healthcare Business
We are among the top 10 OTC companies in India, and our Flagship brands Revital (Ranked 82) and Volini (Ranked 25) are among the top 100 brands in the country. We provide a range of over-the-counter products Revital (multivitamin), Volini (topical paint relief) Abzorb (anti-fungal), Pepfiz (digestive) and garlic pearls (digestive) with a large distribution reach across the country.
Nutrition Ambition
We have identified Nutrition supplements as a key growth driver for our CHC business. The nutrition supplement market in India is valued at over $5Bn and has been growing at healthy double-digit growth. It is currently the largest segment within the OTC market and presents a large potential for future growth given low penetration and growing consumer interest in health and wellness segments.
We are planning to build a strong presence in the nutrition supplement markets across multiple product segments and price tiers. Our aim to become amongst the top 5 players in this market by building a strong portfolio of brands, driving innovation across product segments and participating in various channels via different go to market models.
Sun Pharma’s enjoys widespread coverage in key HCP specialities combined with excellent equity with doctors which has already enabled it to build a strong presence in multiple nutrition speciality segments by establishing a portfolio of differentiated offerings with the Prohance brand. As part of our growth acceleration plan for Prohance, we will strengthen its presence further in specialised RX segments. We will also adopt a hybrid business model to take Prohance DTC and establish it as a well-recognised and trusted brand with differentiated expert scientific credentials.
In addition to leveraging Prohance equity, we are developing plans to enter other segments via new brand launches as well as inorganic growth avenues.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced & self-driven professional for the position of Category Head – New Businesses/Strategic Initiatives with our India Consumer Healthcare Division.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Strategy, Planning & implementation of all brands & products
- Develop new products and strengthen the current portfolio
- Responsible for budget planning, top line and profitability metrices for the brand
- Plan & execute promotional/communication plans across ATL/BTL
- Leverage insights & customer knowledge to create value propositions
- Implement pan-India measurable initiatives in close collaboration with sales teams & build efficiencies for better ROI
Who are we looking for ?
- Experience in managing brands & has a deep and proven understanding of marketing concepts like positioning, proposition building, category management and new product development
- Experience of having managed category P&L
- Self-driven to lead from the front & take complete ownership of multiple projects
- Comfortable in handling ambiguity & demonstrated ability to navigate through the same
- A team player & strong in relationship building especially cross-functionally
- Strong stakeholder management & negotiation skills to influence across levels
- Candidates with 8+ years of experience in FMCG/FMCD industry would be preferred
