This role is a part of the Plant supply planning organization and is primarily responsible for working closely with production, quality, procurement, RA and other cross functional teams to execute production plans based on capacity and material availability at the plants
Areas of Responsibility
Strategic
Monitor implementation of agreed cost rationalization initiatives and benefit realization at plants in scope.
Identify bottleneck resources and provide inputs on de-bottlenecking to manufacturing
Identify consistent material and/or capacity issues, escalate to Plant Head and Central Supply Planner and drive resolution with plant teams
Validate RM/PM inventory norms every 6 months based on based on demand-supply variability, lead times and desired service levels and make suitable updates
Operational
Participate in plant CFT meetings to understand expected constraints and their impact on operational supply planning
Update and. maintain master data in SAP/bolt-on tools For e.g. recipe masters, equipment masters, product masters for their respective plants
Participate in supply side review meetings to understand expected constraints and their impact on overall supply planning
Maintain following system hygiene at plant end in coordination with respective owners: o FG Material Master
FG BOMs, Recipes & Production Versions o SFG Material Master
Resources Master
Unwanted process orders o Unwanted planned orders
Unwanted lnterplant STOs & STRs
Stock with potential expiry to be moved out for exclusion from MRP Run
To share the inputs for MRP run with APO team.
To verify the MRP outputs and share with purchase team.
To prepare and share the list of Raw & Packing materials for analysis priorities.
To conduct the Pre commit meeting with plant team for M1 & M2 commits.
To share the Pre commits with Demand planning and conduct the S&OP meeting.
To share the indent for In House API as per MRP output and raise the PO.
To conduct the commit meeting with plant team for M0 & M1 commits and share with market.
To share final commits with APO team for uploading in APO System.
Drive co-ordination with plant stakeholders and execution activities to implement the agreed production plan
To share the RFC with plant team. To share the inputs for MRP run with APO/Kinaxis team.
To verify the MRP outputs and share with purchase team.
To prepare and share the list of Raw & Packing materials for analysis priorities.
To conduct the Pre commit meeting with plant team for M1 & M2 commits.
To share the Pre commits with Demand planning and conduct the S&OP meeting.
To share the indent for In House API as per MRP output and raise the PO.
To conduct the commit meeting with plant team for M0 & M1 commits and share with market.
To share final commits with APO team for uploading in APO System.
Monitor RM/PM inventory levels across plants in scope and ensure adherence to norms
Participate in discussions with the demand planners with central supply planner to track and confirm the initial committed plans and incorporate inputs
Adhere to the process for additional new requirements post S&OP meetings
On new business opportunities - discuss feasibility with production and material team and communicate to central supply planner within a day
Track actual production on a weekly basis and inform delays, if any to the central supply planner {The supply planning function will cover production plan at a weekly level and manufacturing will take over daily scheduling and loading)
Track & monitor progress of plan execution and drive intermittent issue resolution with production and procurement teams to maximize actual supplies against monthly commitments
Drive co-ordination for new product launches with NPI team, markets and respective plant teams
Monitor key metrics at the plant level (R vs. C, C vs. A,RM/PM inventory, RM/PM write-off)
Drive identified resolution actions based on root causes analysis and action planning
