Key responsibilities:

Approving sign authority for:

• Commercial product/ stability batches / exhibit batches / characterization Batches – Master Batch Manufacturing  Record and Master Batch Packaging Record.

• Risk Assessment, Process Validation protocol, Incident and Investigation report, action, compliance, and closure.

• CAPA plan and closure.

• Protocols and reports.

• Internal Quality Audit/ Regulatory Quality Audit Compliance and closure.

• Change, control, Standard Operating Procedure, Planned Modification.

• Other quality documents including amendments.

 

  • To assist the Plant head in Batch Manufacturing, Warehouse and controlling the functions related to General oral solid dosage department. To plan and execute the schedule as per work plan.
  • To ensure the achievement of Production and Warehouse output with respect to Quality and commercial demands.
  • To ensure there are appropriate manufacturing and technical processes and procedures in place for Production and Warehouse. To ensure the products are produced, packed and stored according to the appropriate documentation in order to obtain the required quality. The Production and Warehouse records are evaluated and signed by a designated person.
  • To monitor the factors that may affect product quality in compliance with cGMP and retention of records in coordination with Quality Assurance head.
  • To approve the instructions related to Production and Warehouse operations including in-process controls and to ensure their strict implementation.
  • To check the maintenance of the department, premises and equipment.
  • To ensure that the appropriate process validations and calibrations of control equipment are performed and recorded and the reports made available.
  • To ensure that the required initial and continuing training of Production and Warehouse personnel for SOP, cGMP, personal hygiene are carried out and adapted according to need.

  • Optimization of the resources like Man, Material and Machines in Manufacturing and Warehouse area.
  •  
  • Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments like Packing, Engineering, PPIC, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Procurement and Management.

 

  • To co-ordinate with FDD/ PDD (R & D)/ MSTG for execution of Trial/ Exhibit/ Process Validation batches and troubleshooting.

 

  • Responsible for destruction of the rejected products as per SOP.

 

  • Ensure implementation and adherence to Environment, health and safety procedures.

 

  • Identify and implement improvements to the Production and Warehouse process, yield.

 

  • To ensure the protection of the product from contamination and monitor the quality standards of products.

 

  • To ensure that the failures, deviations are investigated & corrective and preventive actions are implemented as per set timelines.

 

  • Facilitate for readiness of the site for any internal and regulatory agency audits/ inspections at any given point of time.

 

  • To be a part of OOT/ OOS investigation/ Risk Assessment.

 

  • MES handling

 

  • Provision of training and development opportunities to staff, delegation of responsibilities to CEP activities.

 

  • Escalate to Plant head for any non-compliance.
