Key responsibilities:

To ensure effective implementation of environmental management systems and safety practices, with primary responsibility for ETP, STP, MEE, RO systems and shop-floor safety compliance.

🔹 Environmental Systems Management

• Operate and monitor:
• ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant)
• STP (Sewage Treatment Plant)
• MEE (Multiple Effect Evaporator)
• RO (Reverse Osmosis System)
• ME (Mechanical Evaporator / related systems)
• Ensure proper treatment and disposal of effluent as per PCB norms
• Maintain records of water consumption, discharge, and reuse

🔹 Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with:
• Pollution Control Board (PCB) norms
• Environmental regulations and statutory requirements
• Maintain logs, registers, and daily/weekly ETP reports
• Support audits and inspections by regulatory authorities

🔹 Safety Management

• Implement and monitor EHS practices on shop floor
• Conduct safety rounds, hazard identification, and risk assessments
• Ensure use of PPE and safe work practices
• Support safety training and awareness programs

🔹 Incident & Monitoring

• Report and investigate:
• Safety incidents / near misses
• Environmental deviations
• Monitor emission, discharge levels, and equipment performance

🔹 Coordination

• Work closely with:
• Production
• Maintenance
• QA
• Ensure uninterrupted and compliant functioning of EHS systems

B.Sc / M.Sc  (Environmental Science / Chemistry) / BE (Env./Chemical)

Experience

Tenure:  5 to 7 years
