Key responsibilities:

To lead and manage all warehouse operations at an OSD manufacturing plant in compliance with USFDA, cGMP, and internal quality systems, ensuring proper receipt, storage, issuance, and traceability of raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates, and finished goods.


Key Responsibilities :

Regulatory & Compliance Responsibilities

  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with USFDA, cGMP, Schedule‑M, WHO‑GMP, and internal SOPs.
  • Maintain strict adherence to ALCOA+ data integrity principles.
  • Support USFDA, regulatory, customer, and internal audits, including responses to observations.
  • Ensure proper status labeling and segregation of:
  • Approved
  • Quarantined
  • Rejected
  • Returned material
  • Review and ensure compliance with warehouse SOPs, GDPs, and risk assessments.

 

2. Warehouse Operations Management

  • Oversee end‑to‑end warehouse activities including:
    • Raw materials
    • Packing materials
    • Dispensing area coordination
    • Finished goods storage
  • Ensure FIFO / FEFO practices are strictly followed.
  • Monitor space utilization, storage conditions, and environmental controls.
  • Control material movement and reconciliation with ERP (SAP/Oracle or equivalent).

3. Inventory Control & Stock Management

  • Ensure accurate inventory records and physical stock verification.
  • Lead periodic cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock‑outs or excess inventory.
  • Investigate and close stock discrepancies in coordination with QA and finance.

4. Temperature & Environmental Monitoring

  • Ensure compliance with defined storage conditions:
    • Temperature
    • Humidity
  • Review temperature and humidity logs.
  • Ensure calibration and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of storage areas and equipment.
  • Manage excursions, deviations, and CAPA implementation.

5. Finished Goods & Dispatch

  • Oversee storage and dispatch of finished goods in line with:
    • Batch release status from QA
    • Customer and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure accurate documentation for dispatch, invoices, and shipping.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams for timely and compliant dispatches.

 

6. Documentation & Systems

  • Ensure proper maintenance of:
    • Material receipt records
    • GRNs
    • Batch traceability
    • Warehouse logs
  • Review and approve warehouse‑related SOPs, formats, and records.
  • Ensure ERP transactions are accurate and timely.

 

7. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and manage warehouse staff.
  • Ensure adequate manpower planning and shift management.
  • Conduct training on:
    • cGMP
    • Data integrity
    • Safety
    • SOP compliance
  • Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.

 

8. Health, Safety & EHS Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with EHS requirements within warehouse premises.
  • Implement safe material handling practices.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
  • Identify and mitigate safety risks.

9. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency.
  • Implement digitization, process optimization, and best practices.
  • Participate in cross‑functional improvement initiatives.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy / Science

Experience

Tenure:  18 – 20 years
