Title:  Supply Chain Planner

Position Summary
The Supply Chain Planner supports end-to-end supply planning for the Chattem Chemicals manufacturing site, ensuring product availability while optimizing inventory, production capacity, and service levels. This role partners cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, Customer Service, Finance, and Commercial teams to align demand, material availability, and production plans with business objectives.

Using Kinaxis Maestro (RapidResponse), SAP, and other planning tools, the planner identifies supply risks, balances supply and demand, performs scenario analysis, and drives planning decisions that support operational excellence and business continuity.

This position also plays a key role in Sun Pharma's supply chain transformation initiatives, including Kinaxis adoption, process standardization, continuous improvement, and planning capability development.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, Chemistry, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply planning, demand planning, production planning, inventory management, purchasing, logistics, operations, production control, master scheduling, or supply chain analytics within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations in chemical, pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, industrial, or process manufacturing industries.
  • Experience utilizing advanced planning systems such as Kinaxis, SAP IBP, SAP APO, Oracle, O9, or similar platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including creating and maintaining complex analytical models and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements and drive adoption of planning best practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including gathering data, drawing conclusions, identifying root causes, and making recommendations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong follow-up and execution discipline.

Preferred

  • Direct experience with Kinaxis Maestro (RapidResponse).
  • Experience supporting S&OP and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.
  • Experience within chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, consumer products, or other regulated industries.
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, or equivalent).
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or advanced supply chain reporting and analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of inventory optimization, capacity planning, statistical forecasting, and supply chain modeling methodologies.
  • Experience supporting supply chain transformation initiatives and system implementations.

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $93,500 - $114,000. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
