Title: Senior Manager, Product Marketing
Job purpose
As the Senior Manager, Product Marketing, you will be responsible for the life cycle management of Sun Pharma Canada Inc’s. (SPCI) Generic & OTC Portfolio, inclusive of all New Product Launches and existing Product Marketing activities. As a valuable member of the Canadian Commercial Team, you will be responsible for the development of strategic and tactical initiatives aimed at increasing product revenue, profitability and market share. You will use your years of pharmaceutical marketing experience to manage the lifecycle of SPCI’s existing product portfolio, while working to grow strategic segments of our overall Canadian Generic and OTC offering. Using your strong project management skills, you will manage all Pre and Post launch requirements, ensuring key milestones and activities are met to ensure commercial readiness. In addition, you will work closely with the Product, Manager (Marketed Products) to ensure a robust product life cycle process is in place for the entire portfolio.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage all New Product Launches from a Product Marketing perspective, including forecasting and product tracking.
- Work with Business Development and Portfolio Management to identify and recommend future product opportunities, in line with company goals and objectives
- Work with a cross functional team related to pre-launch, launch and post-launch activities pproviding feedback on key launch features with the Launch Team on trade dress, pack sizes and SKU, artwork design, brand name etc.
- Lead the preparation and submission of long-term and annual product sales budgets and quarterly estimates based on historical performance, external and internal factors and sales intelligence
- Manage complete lifecycle of product portfolio, including launch strategies, pricing and sku optimization, market share and penetration targets through to product discontinuation
- Monitor external market conditions and adjust launch activity timing accordingly
- Support our Wholesaler Trader Manager with securing wholesaler set-up information.
- Ensure finished good samples are available prior to launch in order to generate marketing materials and prelaunch sales tools
- Facilitate monthly launch forecast review meetings with Commercial Operations and communicate any changes to internal stakeholders. Transition product launch forecast to regular demand with Supply Chain.
- Work closely with Marketing, Manager to deliver training for all new product launches to internal commercial team
- Manage and Develop strategic product marketing plans through insightful interpretation of evolving stakeholder strategies, competitive intelligence and overall industry knowledge
- Prepare regular reports and communication on changing market dynamics (political, legal, and economical) and potential impact on industry, customers and company
- Manage the intake of competitive and industry intelligence to identify risks and opportunities that exist within existing portfolio and future pipeline
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Service in identifying competitive opportunities or potential risks to monthly performance targets.
- Working with Marketing Manager to ensure all digital and print material related to product information is relevant, up to date and effective
- Working with Commercial Operations, develop product and sales promotions to reduce inventory obsolescence
- In collaboration with the Sales and Commercial Finance teams, work on annual sales objectives, promotional allowances and profitability objectives to establish agreed upon growth and market share targets
Qualifications
- Minimum of a University degree, preferably in a Commerce or related stream.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a Marketing, or Commercial Operations
- 10+ years of Pharmaceutical industry experience
- Software: SAP, Advanced Microsoft Excel + Office Suite.
- Experience working in the generic pharmaceutical industry or a similar commodity-driven healthcare industry.
- Experience in Product Management, preferably in the Generic Industry
- Experience working with IQVIA data, advanced Excel skills a must
- Exposure and experience working with multiple internal stakeholders such as supply chain, finance, sales and marketing.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure; strong ability to navigate conflicting priorities between stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills, experience working in a highly dynamic team environment
- Ability to decide based on qualitative and quantitative data
- Exhibits creativity in problem solving
- Ability to understand competitive activity and use it to build market opportunities
