Job purpose
We are seeking a Marketing Manager, Biosimilars to lead the strategic planning and execution of brand initiatives across a growing biosimilar portfolio in Canada. This role is critical in shaping competitive positioning, driving stakeholder engagement, and supporting successful product uptake in a rapidly evolving market access and reimbursement environment.
The ideal candidate brings strong pharmaceutical marketing experience, a solid understanding of biosimilars and specialty medicines, and the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Medical, Market Access, and Regulatory teams.
Duties and responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Execution
- Lead development and execution of integrated brand plans for assigned biosimilar products across launch and in‑market phases
- Define and evolve value propositions, positioning, and messaging aligned with Canadian payer, prescriber, and patient dynamics
- Translate strategy into impactful promotional campaigns, sales tools, and digital initiatives
- Assist and potentially lead other products that assist in the specialty portfolio
Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to ensure aligned execution
- Support field teams through training, messaging frameworks, and customer insights
- Contribute to launch excellence planning and lifecycle management
Market & Competitive Insights
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, policy changes, and tender dynamics impacting biosimilars in Canada
- Lead competitive intelligence, SWOT analyses, and scenario planning
- Use insights to inform strategic recommendations and optimize tactics
Stakeholder & Agency Management
- Manage external agencies (creative, media, digital, market research)
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Ensure all materials are compliant with PAAB, Health Canada, and internal governance requirements
- Help identify and build relations with key thought leaders
Performance & Optimization
- Track KPIs, campaign performance, and ROI
- Analyze data to refine tactics and improve impact
- Prepare clear, concise updates for senior leadership
Additional responsibility (Only applicable to customer facing roles)
Report any adverse event received from customers for company products to the pharmacovigilance department / Drug Safety on the same day or within 1 business day.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field is required
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech marketing experience in Canada is required
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in biosimilars, specialty, or hospital‑based products is required
- Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare system, including payers, provinces, and reimbursement pathways is required
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment is preferred
- Preferred experience in Oncology, Osteoporosis, Immunology, Neurology a plus
- Experience in brand planning and new product launches is required
- Passionate about patient care and highly customer-centric is required
- Ability to lead with influence is required

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $98,000 to $120,000. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; RRSP savings plan; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
