Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise packing operations including line clearance, batch packing, and machine/area cleaning.
  • Ensure documentation and monitoring of cGMP activities in the packing department.
  • Complete and update BPR, BMR, annexures, and all related records accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with QA requirements and closure of QA observations.
  • Monitor, control, and approve printed and unprinted packing materials, including first overprints.
  • Maintain qualitative and quantitative productivity; analyze and report low productivity.
  • Plan, prepare, and implement packing schedules based on priorities, projections, and material availability.
  • Allocate manpower as per line requirements, shift planning, and committed batches.
  • Handle packing, repacking, and all activities related to new product introduction, including Master data and GTIN.
  • Update product and GTIN details in annexures, SAP, and Pharmasecure software/server.
  • Ensure daily performance verification and calibration of weighing balances.
  • Coordinate with warehouse for availability of secondary packing materials.
  • Generate breakdown memos in SAP and coordinate with Engineering for breakdowns and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional departments (Engineering, QC, IT, RA, PDD) for daily operations.
  • Ensure line‑wise display of SOPs, GTIN annexures, yield annexures, and related documents.
  • Conduct training coordination, new‑joiner induction, and related GMP documentation.
  • Handle rejection batch destruction activities with proper documentation.
  • Review BPRs and prepare finished goods transfer notes in SAP.
  • Manage cartridge approval and CORO preparation activities.
  • Ensure audit compliance for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain discipline, hygiene practices, and adherence to instructions from the Section Head.
