I.  ROLE IN THE DEPARTMENT

 

To execute activities in R&D, scale-up and trouble shooting under guidance from Group leader / Team leader / Project leader and achieve the objectives set for the Group.

 

II. ACTIVITIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1. Literature:

  • Search and compile literature for preparation of search reports, as directed by Group leader / Team leader / Project leader
  • Collect literature about new developments, source of raw materials etc. especially on topics directly related to the projects and provide feedback to Group leader / Team leader / Project leader

 

2. Experimentation:

  • Ordering of raw  materials/ reagents as directed by Group leader / Team leader / Project leader
  • Designing/ planning of experiments in consultation with Group leader / Team leader / Project leader
  • Conducting, experiments
  • Routine monitoring of experiments provide feedback to Group leader / Team leader / Project leader and sort out problems through consultations and discussions with them.

 

3. Analysis and interpretation of data

  • Submit  materials for analysis and compilation of analytical data
  • Interpretation and characterization of data

 

4. Documentation:

  • Preparation of literature search reports, SLP’s, flow chars, DCI/FDA applications etc.
  • Recording of experiments into Research protocol
  • Gathering information/ ordering of material regarding safety and hazard aspects

 

5. Scale-up activity:

  • Reviewing of BMR’s
  • Scale-up planning and executing in consultation with Group leader / Team leader / Project leader liaison with PD & Production
  • Provide feedback on scale-up activities to Group leader / Team leader / Project leader
  • Trouble shooting : During scale-ups in consultation with Group leader / Team leader / Project leader
  • Training of PD/ Production personnel about process
  • Preparation of Technology transfer documents

 

7. Laboratory management:  Upgradation/ Improvements

  • Maintenance requirements of equipment
  • Organizing of lab. equipment and  general maintenance of etiquette
