Job Description:

The R&D Process Excellence/Ops Team is responsible for:

• • Improving R&D efficiency (Baroda, Gurgaon, OHM, and Haifa) and implementing strategic projects.
  • Managing Life Cycle Management projects for Sun Pharma across the US, EM, India, and EU markets in Formulation and API.
  • Managing project introduction activities, including opportunity identification, evaluation, planning, business case creation, and presentation to management for approval. Also responsible for project portfolio management, including monitoring project progress, resolution/escalation of critical issues, MIS preparation, and monitoring market dynamics.
  • Evaluation of project accruals and realizations.
  • Harmonization of practices across R&D and manufacturing plants/R&D locations
  • Managing R&D budgets in collaboration with Finance.
  • Architecting and leading strategic roadmaps, functional transformation, continuous improvement initiatives, strategic projects, and performance management to drive R&D productivity and operational excellence globally.

Job Profile:

• The position is for Process Excellence/Ops. The selected candidate will be expected to work in a Process Excellence role under the supervision of the reporting manager. He/She will work on:
• Evaluation of Digital and AI/ML technologies for the product development phase.
• Analysing end-to-end processes and driving process diagnostics using Lean methodologies to identify improvement opportunities. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
• Collaborating with the Product Development team to assess risk, stability, and capability using digital tools for product development.
• Identifying process automation opportunities in R&D and manufacturing sites and designing automation roadmaps to improve efficiency.
• Identifying cost improvement opportunities in existing products, presenting them in monthly management meetings, initiating CIP projects, and driving them through the validation phase.
• Identifying opportunities to apply cutting-edge technologies in product development to enable smooth scale-up aligned with the vision of achieving RFT above 95%.
• Conducting manpower and productivity assessments through KPI development and measurement.
• Designing and establishing a reward and recognition framework.
• Reviewing and controlling project investments for the R&D center.

Qualification: M. Pharm / MBA/ BE + MBA (Digital tech or AI skill will be preferred)
