Key responsibilities:

• Development and sustenance of EHS culture at site through various activities and by active support of management.
• Improve EHS awareness across the organization by conducting trainings in the plant and implement new initiatives.
• Assist Site Head on Health and safety compliance to adhere to factories Act and other applicable legislations.
• Assist Site Head and area In-charges in implementing Corporate EHS Policies, standards and guidelines.
• Oversee safety related compliances are adhered to in the plant on daily basis and support the Site Head in case of emergency situations 
• Coordinate for safety committee meetings and follow up for implementation on action points on monthly basis.
• Investigate the cause of the incidents and follow up for implementation of corrective measures
• Participating in any other meeting led by the site head and resolve EHS concerns brought up during the meeting by any employee or implement changes if required.
• Organize EHS audits and walkthroughs by third party vendor as per predetermined mandates
• Maintain ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 management systems.
• Prepare EHS OPEX and CAPEX budget for the site and track them for completion.
• Liasoning with statutory authority like HPSPCB, Factory inspectorate, Fire department etc. and timely preparation & submission of application & returns.
• Co-coordinating for the planned safety inspection, safety observations in the plant as per Global EHS culture meter requirement.
• Ensure periodical maintenance & regular inspection of Fire hydrant, Fire extinguishers & other Firefighting and emergency equipment.
• Ensure smooth operation of ETP meeting statutory compliance.
• Compliance of the all related QMS documents. Assure all-time readiness at sites for inspections and appropriate implementation of corrective actions regarding observations made by the agencies.
