Job Summary: 

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Laboratory Technician to support our Chemistry and Scientific teams by performing essential laboratory support functions. This 1st‑shift role is ideal for someone looking to begin or build a career in a regulated laboratory environment and who takes pride in organization, accuracy, and teamwork.

As a key member of the lab, you will help ensure smooth daily operations by supporting analysts, maintaining laboratory cleanliness, preparing solutions, managing samples, and assisting with documentation—all while following established SOPs and safety standards.

 

What You’ll Do:

Under the direction of Laboratory Management, you will support daily laboratory operations by performing the following activities:

Laboratory Support & Preparation:

  • Prepare mobile phases, diluents, and dissolution media as assigned.
  • Perform daily calibration of laboratory equipment including pH meters, balances, Karl Fischer apparatus, and other assigned instruments.
  • Set up dissolution baths and support analysts during testing activities.
  • Perform testing as required after completing appropriate training.

Laboratory Maintenance & Safety:

  • Clean and maintain laboratory glassware, dissolution baths, and general lab areas.
  • Clean the microbiology laboratory in accordance with applicable SOPs.
  • Remove organic waste, HPLC vials, and released samples following established procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.

Sample Handling & Documentation:

  • Collect samples from the Vault based on testing schedules and analyst/management requests.
  • Count tablets and capsules and perform ATW/ACFW activities as required.
  • Perform data entry, filing, and organization of records.
  • Maintain raw material, finished product, and sample logbooks.
  • Dispose of released or expired samples, chemicals, and standards according to SOPs.
  • Monitor laboratory supplies and chemical inventories, including tracking expiration dates.

 

Work Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

 

 

Work Environment:

Laboratory environment including:

  • Flow and safety hoods
  • Bio‑hazardous materials (including live cultures)
  • Hazardous and non‑hazardous chemicals
  • Moderate noise, oven heat, open flames, and chemical fume hoods
  • Radiation exposure within NRC‑approved limits

Use of appropriate PPE (gloves, lab coat, safety glasses, respirator) is required.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Use hands and fingers for handling materials and repetitive tasks.
  • Close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to operate computer and office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

 

What You Bring:

Education & Skills:

  • High School, Trade School, or Vocational Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • B.S. in chemistry degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated with a hands‑on, can‑do attitude.
  • English proficiency at CEFR Intermediate B1+ level.

 

Experience:

  • Entry‑level position — previous laboratory experience not required.
  • 1-2 years of pharma experience preferred.

 

 

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $27/hr to $31.73/hr. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan, and may be eligible for the Long Term Incentive Plan. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
