Title: Senior Director, Head of Established Brands, Princeton, NJ - Hybrid
The Head of Established Brands will be responsible for leading the strategy, positioning, and lifecycle management of the company’s established portfolio, spanning dermatology, ophthalmology, and oncology. This role offers the opportunity to strengthen and grow a ~$45M portfolio, while also preparing for near-term growth from a new product launch (Benfezia Pen) this year and a launch of an additional indication (CSPC for Yonsa) in the next 12–18 months.
Reporting into Chief Commercial Officer, the individual will serve as the strategic and marketing lead for the portfolio, ensuring strong brand strategies, executional excellence, and alignment with corporate objectives. The role will initially be a sole contributor, but may eventually oversee one to two direct reports and will partner closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Regulatory to maximize the value of the established brands franchise.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the strategic vision for the Established Brands portfolio across dermatology, ophthalmology, and oncology.
- Drive lifecycle management strategies, including indication expansion, label optimization, and competitive defense.
- Partner with Finance to develop annual revenue targets and long-range forecasts.
- Lead development of integrated brand plans and tactical marketing strategies, including positioning, messaging, and channel mix.
- Oversee launch readiness and commercial planning for upcoming product launch and future indication expansion.
- Serve as commercial lead with cross-functional partners in Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, Supply Chain.
- Ensure alignment of brand strategies with payer and access considerations.
- Guide evidence-generation priorities to support brand differentiation and value messaging.
- Provide commercial input into potential business development or licensing opportunities relevant to the Established Brands portfolio.
- Represent the portfolio in external forums, including advisory boards, conferences, and partner discussions.
- Partner with senior leadership to ensure alignment of team objectives with company priorities.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD) strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, with a strong background in marketing, lifecycle management, or portfolio strategy.
- Prior experience managing oncology and/or specialty brands; dermatology and ophthalmology experience highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in brand strategy, product launches, and cross-functional leadership.
- Experience managing P&L or revenue responsibility preferred.
- Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to translate data and insights into actionable brand strategies.
- Proven track record of maximizing value from mature brands while preparing for new launches and indications.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in forecasting, lifecycle planning, and portfolio optimization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence across functions and at senior leadership levels.
- Collaborative leader with ability to manage and develop a small team.
- Highly adaptable and comfortable operating in a dynamic, mid-sized company environment.
The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $232,500 to $284,000. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan.
