Position Summary:

The Area Sales Director – LEVULAN will play a pivotal leadership role within Sun Pharma’s newly formed Cutaneous Oncology Business Unit. This individual will be responsible for driving strategic and tactical sales execution across a defined geography for LEVULAN KERASTICK + BLU-U, leading a team of Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Account Managers (Sales Representatives). The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, a track record of commercial success, and a passion for building high-performing teams focused on delivering patient-centric solutions in actinic keratosis and photodynamic therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Lead, coach, and develop Regional Sales Managers and Account Managers to consistently achieve or exceed sales goals and business objectives.
    • Cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the sales team.
    • Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent.
  • Business Strategy & Execution
    • Translate national strategy into effective regional execution plans aligned with brand objectives and business goals.
    • Monitor performance metrics and business analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and necessary adjustments.
    • Partner with cross-functional colleagues (Marketing, Training, Market Access, Professional Relations) to align field execution with national priorities.
  • Customer Engagement & Market Development
    • Ensure teams are focused on delivering high-impact customer engagements across dermatologists, Mohs surgeons, and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Identify key market development opportunities and local levers to accelerate product adoption and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Operational Excellence & Compliance
    • Manage budgets, territory alignment, and resource deployment effectively and compliantly.
    • Champion the use of CRM tools, sales data, and market insights to inform decisions and drive accountability.
    • Uphold all company policies and ensure team compliance with regulatory, legal, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive commercial experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of second-line sales leadership experience (e.g., District or Area Sales Director level).
  • Dermatology and/or Buy & Bill experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams in a dynamic and evolving market.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50%+).
