Title: Network Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable network solutions that meet the evolving needs of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and deploy network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
- Perform regular network maintenance, including updates, patches, and upgrades.
- Implement and manage network security protocols, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to identify and address network requirements.
- Analyze and optimize network traffic and ensure proper bandwidth utilization.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for network-related issues and escalate when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or a related role.
- Proficiency with network hardware, including Cisco, Brocade, or similar equipment.
- Proficiency with wireless technologies such as Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, or Rukus
- Understanding of Network Security technologies (ie. Cisco ISE, Forescout, Forcepoint, Netskope)
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, or ManageEngine).
- Knowledge of firewall (Cisco, Palo Alto, or Check Point) configurations and network security best practices.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan.
