Sr. Associate, Compliance

 

The Sr. Associate will be responsible for supporting key initiatives and projects of the Office of Ethics and Compliance.  They will be the primary compliance contact for speaker program operations, liaising with commercial teams and third party vendors to ensure that program activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.  They will also assist with key aspects of the company’s aggregate spend reporting system, including tracking, validating and reporting of spending on healthcare professionals and organizations.  In addition the individual will execute compliance auditing and monitoring activities and conduct data analyses that help support the effectiveness of the company’s compliance program.

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key point of contact for speaker program operations
  • Continuously monitor speaker program planning, execution and close-out of programs for adherence to policies and procedures
  • Develop and generate reporting on speaker program activities that provides value-added and timely analytics and metrics to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage speaker vendor business rules and address and triage queries to appropriate parties
  • Identify and escalate issues to OEC management for follow-up and corrective action
  • Partner with business units and external third parties to collect and record spend data for transparency reporting
  • Conduct spend data review and validation, identify any data integrity issues, root causes and corrective actions
  • Conduct monitoring activities across Sun business activities that address key risk areas such as interactions with healthcare professionals and organization, promotional practices, medical information, third party relationships and pricing
  • Deliver timely reports of monitoring metrics, trends and observations
  • Conduct data analytics and reporting to support compliance investigations
  • Develop value-added reports for relevant stakeholders, executive management and the Compliance Committee
  • Other compliance projects, activities and initiatives as needed

 

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree required (or preferred?)
  • 3+ years of compliance, auditing, legal, consulting or related professional experience
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn analytics technology tools
