Responsibilities:

The Taro Internship Program will allow students the opportunity to gain valuable experience that will integrate the knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skill development in a professional setting.  The Interns will work on projects with a global scale across various departments.  The experience will go beyond the assigned internship position and include formal, ongoing training and development opportunities, formal presentations, and community involvement opportunities to further the students’ development.

 

The DSCSA project phase will be into rapid compliance of selling all our pharmaceuticals with an accompanying communication of unique serials on every single drug as is it is shipped to customer.  The pharmaceutical market is required to be tracking and tracing every single of the billions of prescription by year end. For us, that is 6 million serial units sold a month and failure points can happen along the way in manufacturing, distribution, and customer communication technologies.  

 

This role will be responsbile for performing customer scorecard analysis, root cause identification, and solutions.  It will closely work with supply chain operations, customer service operations, master data teams, and our IT/technology experts.  The position will be based in Hawthorne NY, but be expected to be present in our NJDC operations (Cranbury, NJ) on average of 1 day per week.

 

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelors program
  • Ability to work in Hawthorne, NY for 10 weeks (June 3rd – August 9th)
  • Ability to work on a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of 3 days a week in office
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Demonstrated leadership in academics, community services and/or extracurricular activities
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple tasks and
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as on a team
