Responsibilities:

The Taro Internship Program will allow students the opportunity to gain valuable experience that will integrate the knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skill development in a professional setting.  The Interns will work on projects with a global scale across various departments.  The experience will go beyond the assigned internship position and include formal, ongoing training and development opportunities, formal presentations, and community involvement opportunities to further the students’ development.

 

Project: Goal: Reduce obsolete inventory exposure.  Review demand and supply planning current process, including review of MOQ's, shelf life, DTC, retail, Intl, and customer specific requirements and identify areas of risk and suggestions for revisions to current process that will result in decreasing inventory liabilities.  Other tasks: Assist with MRP project, i.e. setting up master data, inventory safety stock levels, testing, and validation.  Assist purchasing and order management teams with miscellaneous tasks upon request.  

 

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelors program
  • Ability to work in Hawthorne, NY for 10 weeks (June 3rd – August 9th)
  • Ability to work on a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of 3 days a week in office
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Demonstrated leadership in academics, community services and/or extracurricular activities
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple tasks and
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as on a team
