Responsible for direct contact with customers for the company’s branded product portfolio for the purpose of increasing sales and managing all aspects of customer relationships while meeting all reporting, budgeting, and forecasting requirements for assigned territory.

Duties and responsibilities

 

  1. Responsible for all sales, forecasting, planning of future goals, and budgetary aspects of assigned brands to maximize gross margin and net sales.
  2. Need to both grow the current customer base along with bringing new customers to the organization.
  3. Timely gathering of market prices of current and future launched Taro branded products.
  4. Active participation in the launch of new branded products, such as gathering prospective customer’s utilization data in a timely manner and sharing that with the pricing team.
  5. Conduct quarterly business reviews on an organized schedule.
  6. Interact with Marketing, Customer Service and Operations to manage all aspect of branded sales.
  7. Implement approved promotional/marketing plans to obtain distribution for new products and maximize sales.
  8. Monitor account/product sales to ensure inventory is sold through before it becomes short dated.
  9. Analyze marketplace and competition and develop and execute plans to promote future sales growth of the branded products portfolio.
  10. Manage ancillary sales organizations (brokers and manufacturer representatives).
  11. Responsible for working conventions and trade shows as necessary.

 

Qualifications

 

  1. Bachelor's degree and minimum 4-6 years with OTC Branded Sales experience with direct contacts to key industry buyers.
  2. Working knowledge of consumer product distribution channels and all classes of trade (mass merchandisers, drug chains, food stores, wholesalers and distributors) required.  Must know relevant consumer/seasonality trends.
  3. Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  4. Ability to take direction and work independently and in concert with Sales Support.
  5. Forecasting capability and computer literacy.
  6. Ability to travel up to 4 days per week.
