Our Brampton location is presently looking for Custodian.

General Summary:

Ensure the cleanliness of the interior/exterior of the building

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse: Duties include floor sweeping and scrubbing.
  • Ensure outdoor perimeters are maintained, kept clean and clear at all times including:

removal of debris from parking lots,  walkways,  gardens

  • maintenance of gardens,  keeping them clear of debris, weeding and watering
  • Snow removal and salting of walkways on a daily basis and more frequently if required during increment weather.
  • Minor facility repairs or installations as required, which may include minor relocations of office/facility equipment, clogged sink or toilet repair, installation of wallboards,  keyboard trays etc.   All work required would be directed through repair work orders with the exception of emergency repairs.
  • Pest control monitoring and documentation.
  • Ensure supplies are kept at a working level to maintain the cleaning of the buildings
  • Check that contractor cleaning services are being held at a good level
  • Deliver paper to photocopy areas
  • Deliver water bottles to water dispensing units
  • Complete all GMP Documentation correctly and in a timely manner
  • Complete all training assignments and maintain personal training records
  • Participate in and/or lead Non Conformance Investigations
  • Complete Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA’s)
  • Initiate, and follow through with actions required to close Change Controls
  • Participate in Internal, Customer and Regulatory Audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager around facility cleanliness.
  • Ensure that documentation from all cleaning operators is completed and up to date for audit purposes.
  • Follow safety rules/regulations and report any workplace injuries or accidents.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques
  • Good Communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, Lotus Notes)
  • Ability to prioritize and plan activities during the day

Background and Experience:

  • Prior experience in a similar environment (3 years in a pharmaceutical, food processing plant)
  • Minimum Grade 12
  • GMP Training

Working Conditions:

  • Extreme heat /cold conditions.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (above 75lbs)
  • Exposure to dirt, dust and water will be experienced
  • Clean pharmaceutical plant working conditions
  • Safety equipment/ protection required when working
